LOUISVILLE, CO., September 8, 2021 – Sierra Space and Kanematsu Corporation (Kanematsu) are opening global access to low Earth orbit (LEO), enabling new business opportunities in space. The Sierra Space Station is a LEO platform that uses the Dream Chaser® space plane and several LIFETM habitats to create a vibrant new space ecosystem where people live and work in space and where new industries are allowed to thrive and to develop, while helping humanity on Earth. Kanematsu is a leading international aerospace company in Japan.

A business partner of Sierra Space in Japan, Kanematsu facilitates doing business with the public and private sectors in Japan. Kanematsu brings its experience in Japanese aerospace to the new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between companies.

This partnership opens up Sierra Space’s ability to reach a more global market for its space programs.

Kanematsu has already supported Sierra Space on several Japanese cooperation programs and the expanded agreement focuses on developing commercial partnerships with the LEO space station in the Japanese space market.
