Customers found themselves unable to use their internet or watch their television.
According to Down Detector, the problems started just before 7 p.m., with people complaining that they couldn’t load the app or website.
Issues with the social media site have been recorded across the UK on Down Detector, including in London, Birmingham and Manchester.

Is sky internet down? What we know so far
Of the issues reported, 93% were related to issues with the app, while 5% were related to issues with the TV.
Another 2% of issues were related to the Twitter feed.
Some customers have taken to social media for answers or to vent their frustration.
One person wrote: “I think the sky glass is down. None of my channels are working. I say connected to wifi so I don’t know what else could be.”
Another user added, “Sky Internet is like (idk if you’re on sky but mine is bad too).”
A third wrote: “Sky internet is as patchy as Raggedy Ann. Please fix it @SkyUK I’m paying enough for your internet. I don’t expect it to be cut every half hours.”
According to the heat map, the worst affected areas are London and Manchester.
